After many years of working and ready to retire I started looking for a happy, serene and leisurely way of life. I began my research for somewhere to live several years before I intended to start the rest of my life, I visited many villages both in NSW and Qld, looking for the lifestyle for me.
I needed to look financially as well as value and contentment, I came back several times to Lakeside Leisure Village, and found the staff most professional and understanding and their service in responding to the needs and requests I asked for exemplary, in some instances I was not quite sure of how to organise my house and at all times this was no trouble for any of the staff when asked to help me.
The facilities here are excellent and are kept up to a very high standard. I can recommend this village lifestyle to anyone looking for this type of living especially if you are looking to meet new and like minded people. I can only end by saying welcome to the next and best part of your life.
As a single female looking for retirement options, I spent many months looking and decided upon this village. Why? The semi-bush and water environment around the village offered me plenty of recreational options.
The closeness to essential services like hospitals, doctors and specialists. Easy access to motorway for travelling coupled with the many social attractions in the local area. In the 7 years I have lived here I have made many new friends, attended lots of social activities within the village like BBQ’s,Trivia, concerts put on by residents and used the large outdoor pool and the village bus that takes residents shopping each week.
I find my village to be a warm and relaxing place to live and I would love to recommend my village to others.
After moving to Lake Munmorah from the Hunter Valley in 198, I have seen many changes in the town and village when it was a tourist park, where I stayed for a short time until I found a home. I loved the coastal lifestyle, the people and after being a permanent resident in Terence Ave in Lake Munmorah, I was delighted to find my gorgeous cottage after selling my family home.
Village life suits me completely. I play an active role in the social club and partake in social activities with the bowls group and library group. There are plenty of fun loving residents in Lakeside Leisure Village. It is a pleasure to be a part of it and all this great coast has to offer.
I moved into Lakeside Leisure Village just over a year ago and it was definitely the best decision I ever made. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the staff could not be more helpful. Any request I made to the office was met with positive feedback and they were more than willing to help where possible. The facilities are awesome – pool, tennis court, bowling green, library, barn for social gatherings – they even opened up the squash court for me (and everyone else).
Being right on the lake, there is a great walking path and the back gate opens up at the traffic llights to safely walk across the road to Woolworths and Lake Munmorah Shopping Centre. I’m a very happy resident!
